Sid is a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer and a member of the International Collaborative Practitioners. Sid has received thorough training in the collaborative family law process and has experience handling numerous collaborative family law cases.
The collaborative family law process is different than the traditional court process in the following ways:
- The parties agree to resolve issues through a problem solving approach as opposed to asking a Judge to decide who wins and who loses.
- The parties and their lawyers meet together to discuss the problems and what needs to be solved and how best to reach a resolution.
- The discussions are and remain confidential in order to encourage open discussion of the issues and needs of each of the parties.
- The parties can mantain control over the process and tailor the process to their distinct needs.
